Project ARA – A look into Google’s Modular Smartphone Google�s Project Ara has been in the works for little over a year and its main aim lies in the development of smartphones that are made up swappable modules or blocks. These so called blocks are then used to latch onto metal frames or skeletons as Google would like to call it, giving the user total control over the components that make up a smartphone. In other words, the user will be allowed to choose from an array of displays, batteries, cameras, speakers, so on and so forth.
